Hello!

Welcome to the Being Podcast.  Today is the second episode of Season 3: Prophets!  The prophets spoke truth to God's people.  In many scenarios this is a hard truth of correction or rebuke, but much of it is a call to identity.  While these books are references of a specific message for a specific people, the beauty of scripture is that much of what they are told then are things we need to be reminded of today.  Today we'll be exploring Habakkuk 3 in which the people of God are faced with a dire situation.  The writers response is remarkable.

Habakkuk 3:17-19

"Even though the fig trees have no blossoms,
    and there are no grapes on the vines;
even though the olive crop fails,
    and the fields lie empty and barren;
even though the flocks die in the fields,
    and the cattle barns are empty,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord!
    I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!
The Sovereign Lord is my strength!
    He makes me as surefooted as a deer,
    able to tread upon the heights."
